We’re not sure if you have thought much about a pre-wedding shoot but if you haven’t they are a great idea. When we got married I didn’t quite understand why were getting a pre-wedding shoot, though I just thought it was a good opportunity to get to know our photographer more, which it did and we had a good laugh.
By doing this shoot I learned a lot and we now offer this service to our couples.
Firstly, they are a great way of getting you comfortable with the camera prior to your big day. I always thought I was fine with a camera but the moment it was time for us to get a photo, I was full on smiling with a cheesy grin. Doing this shoot and taking direction from the photographer let me get close and comfortable with my partner and working out the best angles for us.
Secondly, you get the chance to get some beautiful photos in a lovely location. We have visited all over the north east doing these shoots and you get fully edited beautiful shots – always make a beautiful profile pic before your wedding consumes your facebook 🙂
Thirdly, it is a chance to meet your kids or pets if you have any. We recently visited Alnwick Gardens to do a pre-wedding shoot with a couple and their fantastically fun kids. It was a great opportunity for the kids to meet us before the day, get comfortable around us and get some really fun shots. Kind of similar, we have done a pre-wedding shoot with a families dog, who was making an appearance at the wedding so got to meet us before to get some snaps with the couple.
Finally, it is just the extra opportunity to meet with your photographer. On my wedding day I loved getting to meet our photographer again. We had a really good laugh at the pre-wedding shoot and it nicely filled the gap between first meeting him and the wedding. I felt like I had known him for years so was more relaxed getting photos.
Our pre-wedding shoot’s are priced at just £125 which includes us visiting a location, a couple hours – or as long as we need getting some beautiful shots and all images edited and supplied to you.
